Don’t be left in the smoke!  Nearly 45 years after MIPA first founded, designed and installed Deane’s Children Park at Island Crest Park, fondly known as “Dragon Park”, the volunteer parent organization, along with MI Parks & Recreation, will breathe (fire) new life into Dragon Park.   Read what others are saying about the Dragon Park Renovation or read the frequently asked questions.

In this forested park of dragons, MIPA has replaced the antiquated and unsafe metal slide structure with a castle themed toddler area complete with a castle, seesaw, dragon drum and metallophone.  The area will be suited for young children of all abilities.

Safeco and Starbucks are major partners in making our beloved park a natural, safe gathering place for our community.

Because of the grants and private donations, we are almost, but not quite, within reach of our goal of $80,000 for the new toddler / disabled access area.
