HOLIDOORS

Bring the joy of the Holidays to the Doors of the Senior Citizens! We will decorate the doors for both Covenant Shores Health Care Center and at Ellsworth House (the Island's only subsidized senior housing located behind Albertsons) and then enjoy a party with the residents.

Holidoors is back! Bring the joy of the Holidays to the Doors of Mercer Island's Senior Citizens. This event began in December 2001 as a way for MIPA members to have a "giving" event in our community during the holiday season. The tradition continues this year with preschools and individuals creating door-sized holiday decorations to hang on residents' doors at Ellsworth House and Covenant Shores.

We will celebrate at two Holidoors parties where we will meet with the residents, share punch and treats and hang your works of art:

Ellsworth House Tuesday, December 4th from 1:30pm-3:00pm 2720 76th Avenue SE (behind Albertson's).

Covenant Shores Friday, December 7th from 10:00am-11:30 a.m. 9150 Fortuna Drive off North Mercer Way.

You are welcome to come to the Holidoors Parties even if you did not get a chance to make a decoration! Decorations are being made ahead of time - if you would like to make a "Holidoor" at home, please contact Kirstin at 232-6888 or Dina at 425-864-0947 for additional information.We look forward to seeing you there!

If the art party doesn't work for you, pre-cut "door size" butcher paper in holiday colors and other art supplies will also be available at the general meeting and coffee socials in November.
