The Major Gifts committee is
working on renovating Dragon Park!
They are
replacing the antique and unsafe metallic structure with a new
castle, fit for our dragon, seesaw, metallaphone, and more.

MAJOR GIFTS COMMITTEE
MIPA's Major Gifts committee has been busy! Not
only are they working on the dragon park, they are also looking
for an indoor playspace for our preschoolers on those rainy
Northwest days.
Note: A "Major Gift" is a significant
investment in a long-term capital improvement program or project
benefiting young children, in which MIPA is not the sole funding
source, and our funding will not support the operating budget of
the recipient organization.
 For
example, in 2000, MIPA raised much of the funds to build,
in partnership with the city, a new children's playground in
Mercerdale Park. This new playground opened in 2002.
Many children fondly refer to this as the "Train Park" because of
the bright red steam engine and cars in the playground. |
