Extended family atmosphere;; located mid-Island; walking distance to wonderful parks; small group gives me the opportunity to spend quality time with each child each day. My program is very loosely structured so that each child has the opportunity to grow and learn at his/her own pace.
BCC Mercer Island Toddlers and Pre-Toddlers
We have limited openings in the Mercer Island Toddler I and II programs, a parent education class through Bellevue Community College for parents and their two to three year old child. The class features parent education for the parent and a preschool program for the child. Openings in Mercer Island Toddler I meet one day each week, 9:30 - 11:30 AM, Wed. or Thursday at Congregational Church, 4545 Is. Crest Way. Openings in Mercer Island Toddlers II meet one day each week, 9:30 ¨C 11:30 AM, Mon., Tues., or Wed. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6001 Island Crest Way. Creative
Learning Center, Is located at the beautifully remodeled north annex behind the Community Center at Mercer View. We are expanding from 1 classroom to 2 classrooms. The classes offered will be Monday through Thursday (2,3 or 4 day program) 9:00-11:30 with an optional lunch program from 11:30 to 12:15. Children ages range from 2 1/2 - 6 years old. We are also accepting enrollment for afternoon kindergarten enrichment (12:30-3:00 Mon through Thurs) The individualized program will be designed to aid and enhance language development, Math, Practical life, Sensorial, Geography, Science, art and music will also be included. Tentative information from the transportation department indicates that bus service will be available from West Mercer & Island Park elementary schools to the Community Center. The kindergarten program is taught by a Washington State certified Kindergarten teacher. We provide curriculum in math, literacy, art, science, and social studies. You child will participate in specialty classes; including swimming, health and physical fitness, music movement, library, Judaics. There is before and after school care through the kidstown program. The curriculum is coordinated with district Kindergarten programs to provide continuity for your child's learning. Maximum class size of 14 students. Lisa’s Little School
Lisa’s Little School, Lisa’s Little School, located on the south end of the Island, is currently full for the 08-09 school year. If you would like to be waitlisted, email Lisa at LisasLittleSchool@comcast.net. Hours for 08-09 will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 -12:30 (ages 2 3/4 - 4), and Tuesday, Thursday, 9:00 -1:00 (4 year olds). Children may be registered for 1 or 2 days. About Lisa: Lisa has lived on Mercer Island for most of her life. She has a BA in education, has been licensed as a Daycare for over 18 years, has coached years of soccer and baseball, previously taught swimming and sports classes on MI, and is a competitive cyclist. When not on her bike or teaching her pre-school program, Lisa is kept busy spending time with her husband and three son’s (ages 21, 22, and 24).

Mercer Island Montessori
Our preschool program has recently moved to our newly remodeled location on the South End. Our beautiful new classroom is located in a residential setting with an expanded space for the full range of Montessori materials and activities. We offer a Montessori curriculum that includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Geography, Science, Art, Music, a weekly drama class (school year only), and foreign language instruction. Our individualized approach to education offers each child the opportunity for growth while respecting each child's style and pace of learning. Presbyterian Church Preschool (MIPC)

is located at the West Mercer Elementary School. It includes typically developing children and children who have special needs. Montessori School Mercer Island branch has openings for children 2 1/2 -6 years of age. Half-Day 9:00am to 12 noon, Extended Day 9:00am to 3:00pm. Our classroom is fully equipped with Montessori materials and apparatus. The Montessori curriculum includes reading, writing, world culture, geography, mathematics, music, art, science, and Spanish. Patti's Play
Center
2-5 year olds; 2-3 year olds every morning 9am-12pm, and 3-5 year olds every afternoon 12:00-3:00pm located at the Emmanuel Church. Currently Patti¡¯s has openings available in their afternoon program. Patti¡¯s purpose is to provide a part-time play and socialization center for children in a well supervised play area. The morning program is focused on activities for children ages 2-3, while the afternoon program, with its slightly more advanced activities, is geared toward children ages 3-5. Pixie Hill Preschool
Pixie Hill Preschool is celebrating 55 years on Mercer Island. Led by Director Ann Connolly, Pixie Hill offers two programs, a 3's class and a 4's (Pre-K) class.
