PocketNotes

PocketNotes are a monthly published newsletter filled with highlights of upcoming events, presents informative articles about kids, product safety recall notices, and suggests fun activities for parents and children.  PocketNotes come with a MIPA membership and are a wonderful way of keeping up with events for our preschoolers.

HOW TO SUBMIT AN ARTICLE TO POCKETNOTES

DEADLINES:  Deadlines for submission of articles to PocketNotes is the first day of the previous month.  Example:  Nov. 1st is the submission deadline for the December issue of PocketNotes.  To submit an article, send us an e-mail or contact the co-chairs.  Any interesting and relevant information is welcome.  If you have some fun children’s activities, recipes, ideas, etc., please forward them to us.  Please remember that PocketNotes can ONLY print information about non-profit programs and organizations.

INSERTS:  The insert needs to be reviewed and approved by the school board PRIOR to submission to the PocketNotes editor. The deadline is the first day of the previous month.  If the publicity chairs and other applicable board members prefer to coordinate their own printing, it can be done through the Mercer Island School Board.  The contact person is Vanessa (phone: 232-3321).  In this case, the deadline for inserts is the 15th of the prior month.  This means the inserts are to be printed and delivered to the Mailing Chair by the 15th.  The mailing chair will then collate the inserts into PocketNotes prior to mailing.

It is important to maintain this schedule in order to ensure that the newsletters are mailed out on a timely basis every month.

Co-chairs:  Sharon Schwartz, 232-2937 and Kim Klein, 236-3236
